“AbEx Redux” explores three new directions in Abstract painting in relationship to media, nature, and spirituality. The artworks on display by Chris Santa Maria; Beryl Barr-Sharrar; Kikki Ghezzi convey the Abstract Expressionism’s essence. They all offer a new version of reality and hint, either through scale, form, gesture, or coloration, to contemporary and personal interpretations of the Sublime.

New Exhibition “AbEx Redux” Explores Three New Directions in Abstract Painting In Relationship to Media, Nature, and Spirituality.

The artworks on display by three New York-based artists: Chris Santa Maria; Beryl Barr-Sharrar; Kikki Ghezzi convey Abstract Expressionism’s essence, its attention to the physical immediacy of paint and materials.

They all offer a new version of reality and hint, either through scale, form, gesture, or coloration, to contemporary and personal interpretations of the Sublime. The exhibition features four collages by Chris Santa Maria, six paintings/collages by Beryl Barr-Sharrar, and five paintings by Kikki Ghezzi.
